Saint Peter - Sacred Heart School Spiritual Life

dove

Gospel values and Christ centered character set us apart!

The spiritual life and character of Saint Peter - Sacred Heart School is what sets it apart from other schooling options in the Fairfield County area.

Each school day begins and ends with communal prayer, Mass is celebrated each month at our Parish Churches, Saint Peter Church one month & Sacred Heart Church the other. School - wide Masses are generally celebrated once each month and on Holy days of Obligation. Each class prepares the Mass Celebration's Theme, prayer, hymns and meditation.

Religous classes are taught daily as a means to developing the whole person using The Bible, Christian life and our rich Catholic tradition. We celebrate our special devotion to Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, through the Rosary offered during October and May ending with our May Crowning.

The school firmly believes in it's responsibility to guide it's students not just to know the word of God, but to be doers of the word. Our faith in God is manifested through knowledge, prayer and service to others.

Saint Peter - Sacred Heart School actively participates in community outreach programs, such as collecting monthly donations for Danbury food pantries, participating in the "Mitten Tree", adopt a family at Thanksgiving and Christmas, lunch preparation for Dorothy Day Shelter and more.
